Fabric and Craft

Woven in Paithani silk on a tissue base, so the cloth carries a fine metallic shimmer through the ground rather than only at the border. Zari is woven across the body and pallu in the motif vocabulary Paithani is known for. The tissue construction makes it noticeably lighter than a conventional Paithani while keeping the same lustre.
